Creating a view to monitor all Buffers.

The Buffer view is used to to view and edit data that is stored in a buffer. Typical Buffer data would be scenarios like Holidays, Tax Rates, Company contact lists, and any other type of lookup information.

Creating an Ops Portal Buffer View

Open the Operations Portal created earlier, go to the Operations Portal menu and click the plus button to add a new View.

  1. Give it a name and a meaningful description (description optional).

  2. Click on the Save View button.

Select the Control type

Each Ops Portal view can be configured to use a specific control type.

Select the Buffer option which provides a view into any data stored in a Buffer.

  1. Click on the Control field.

  2. The selection list opens, now select the Buffer option.

Select the Buffer

Select the desired buffer to access from the dropdown list or alternatively, create a new buffer by clicking on the highlighted plus button.

Read Only checkbox – Only allow values to be viewed only and not edited.

Default Query

Used to query the buffer. For more information on how to query a buffer, click on the link below:

HTML Template

Used to customize an HTML page with required branding and design to display the Buffer contents, which can contain any HTML elements, including CSS and JavaScript. In Synatic, you can also use the Handlebars template to process any data.

Once the View's configuration is completed, click the Save View button.

Execute the View

To execute the view, follow the instructions below:

1. Select the Ops Portal option in the Account menu to open the Operations Portal. This is also the method used by the operations personnel to process these views.

2. Select the Ops Portal view that was created from the list of available views.

3. Click the Execute Flow button to run the Flow in the View.

4. To edit any of the records in the list:

  • Use the Filter button to display only the selected criteria of records in the Buffer.

  • Use the Add Value button to insert new records to the Buffer.

  • Use the Pencil icon to edit the contents of the selected record.

  • Use the Trash can icon to delete the selected record.
