Creating a view to monitor all execution Runs for a specific flow.

This article will show how to create a view with the Ops Portal Runs control. The Runs view allows viewing, monitoring, and investigating the execution of historical runs for a specific flow.

Creating an Ops Portal Runs View

Open the Operations Portal created earlier, go to the Operations Portal menu and click the plus button to add a new View.

  1. Give the View a name and a meaningful description (description optional).

  2. Click on the Save View button.

Select the Control type

Each Ops Portal view can be configured to use a specific control type.

Select the Runs option which provides a list of flow runs executed for the configured flow.

  1. Click on the Control field.

  2. The selection list opens, now select the Runs option.

Select the Flow

Select the desired flow from the dropdown list or alternatively create a new flow by clicking on the highlighted plus button. It is this flow's execution list that will be displayed when the view is run.

Select the Solution

Select the Solution where the flow resides.

  1. Click in the Solution field.

  2. Select the Solution from the selection list.

Options

Select the following options to further define the view.

Only for User checkbox – Only show runs for the logged-in user.

Page Size checkbox – Set the page size for run view. It is set to 10 by default.

Condensed checkbox – Show condensed Run List view. Fewer columns are shown as per the image below.

Mini View checkbox – Show the mini run view. More columns are shown as illustrated in the page below.

Hide Controls checkbox – Hide run controls options. Filter options are not available as outlined in red in the below image.

Allow Events checkbox – Allow access to run events.

Allow Records checkbox – Allow access to run records.

For this article, the Allow Events and Allow Records checkboxes are selected.

Hidden checkbox – Hide the view from the Operations Portal when selected.

When you have completed the View's configuration, click the Save View button.

Operations Portal

The view is constructed in the Operations Portal. To access it the Operations Portal, Click on the link below:

Type the Organization name and click on the sign-in button.

1. Select the Ops Portal option from the view list on the left side of the platform.

2. The selected flow of the Runs view executes automatically and displays a list of all the dates and times this flow was executed.

The Run list displays the following columns:

  • Date - Date and time on which the run was executed.

  • Flow - Name of the Flow that was executed.

  • Version - Version of the Flow.

  • Status - Status of the executed run.

  • Records Completed - Number of records that were processed.

  • Record Failures - Number of records that failed the process.

  • Event Errors - Number of errors that occurred during an event.

The display also provides a set of filter options that can be used to help you find a specific run that requires attention.

Filter options

  • Run Status - Select a run status to view the runs for the selected status.

  • Start Date of Filter search - Enter the date to start your search.

  • End Date of Filter search - Enter the date for the end of your search.

  • Completed Records - Select the number of completed records.

  • Run ID - Enter the Run ID.

Flow Request Box

Flow request buttons are used to initiate SyncFlow flows that have been set in a SyncFlow Control Ops View.

The flow requests box will show all flow requests. It is located at the bottom of the page on the right side of the screen as shown in the image below. The flow requests box can be expanded and collapsed or removed using the icons outlined in blue.

To access the menu, click on the username initials located on the top right of the page as shown in the image below.

In addition to showing the user details, the menu has the option to show the flow request buttons if they are closed. There are also options to sign out and access the settings page. The settings page is shown in the image below.

Set the table row height by clicking on the outlined dropdown arrow to select the required pixels. The flow request box automatic expansion is turned off in the settings as well by clicking the on/off button outlined in blue in the above image.
