AMS360 Trigger Step

The AMS360 Trigger step is used to trigger a flow using AMS360 Notification Service Messages.

Vertafore AMS360 provides a notification service for delivering notification of changes to selected types of data within the AMS360 database to applications external to AMS360.

Adding an AMS360 Trigger Step

To add an AMS360 Trigger step in a flow, follow the below instructions:

1. Click on the plus button in the Trigger step as shown in the below image.

2. The below page will appear. Select AMS360 as illustrated in the image below.

3. After saving, click the AMS360 Trigger step edit icon again to view the URL created for the AMS360 endpoint.

Configuring an AMS360 Trigger Step

Illustrated in the below image is the configuration that is available in the AMS360 Trigger step.

URL – The URL used to trigger the flow (Destination Address).

Authentication Code section – A code is sent by AMS360 with each notification. The Authentication Code is user-selected. Ensure that the code in the AMS360 Notification Service Client setup is the same as the Authentication Code chosen here.

Using an AMS360 Trigger

  • Save button – Save the trigger step configuration.

  • Disable button ­ – Disable the trigger. This will keep the trigger but make it inactive in the flow.

  • Detach button – Detach the trigger. This will keep the trigger but make it inactive in the flow. You can only make it active again through the ReAttach button which will generate a new URL.

  • ReAttach button – Reattach the trigger. This will make the trigger active again with a different URL.

  • Delete button – Removes the trigger completely.

AMS360 Notification Service setup

For real-time data sync, set up a notification service. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Administration section and select notification service setup.

2. Click on the New button in the header

3. Enter the Notification Client name in the field illustrated in the image below.

4. Create a New Recipient by clicking on the New button as shown in the image above.

The page below will display.

5. Provide the Destination Address and Authentication code. Make sure that the Authentication Code matches the one in the Synatic AMS360 Trigger. This is created using the AMS360 Trigger step in Synatic.

6. Set delivery status to On.

7. Select the required Notification Types in the Grant Notification section.
