Introduction to the Operations Portal

A tutorial on building an Operations Portal for monitoring Synatic Flows and Integrations.

Synatic boasts an Operations Portal that can be used on a day-to-day basis to monitor and ensure that all flows and integrations are working. The Operations Portal also has the added ability to execute flows and investigate any anomalies that may occur with any flow.

A typical example of real-life usage would be monitoring and ensuring that all flows and integrations, like automatic synchronizations, data updates, financial data updates, etc., are working.

Any errors or malfunctions, for whatever reason, can be checked, tested, corrected, and retested on the fly.


About this Tutorial

This tutorial will guide you through using the Operations Portal and how to create a series of views, each with a different control type.

For this tutorial, we will mostly use the BookStore Solution as an example to create views of Flows, Buffers, Runs, HTML, and Graphs.

Creating a Portal

To begin, you must first create a new Operations Portal, if you have not done so already. In Synatic, go to the Operations Portal menu and click ⨁ to add a new Portal.

  1. Give the new Portal a name and a meaningful description.

  2. Click Save.

πŸ“ You can select the Disable checkbox if you want to disable this portal at any future time.


Ops Portal Tutorials

You will learn how to create and test views using each of the various control types:

  • Building the basic Operations Portal - Create and configure the basic Ops Portal

  • AsyncFlow - Used to run and monitor any of the flows in an Asynchronous mode.

  • SyncFlow - Used to run and monitor any of the flows in a Synchronous mode.

  • Buffer - Used to view and manage data in any of the Synatic Buffers.

  • Runs - Used to view and monitor the flow results of any listed Runs.

  • Run - Used to view and monitor the flow results of any specific Run ID.

  • HTML - Used to display the output of a flow in an HTML formatted page.

  • Graph - Used to create a Graph chart of X-axis & Y-axis data for a flow output.
