Installing Synatic's New Relay Manager

The Relay Manager is required to be installed and running on the on-premise computer, either in memory or as a Service for an associated Synatic Relay to operate.

Uninstall Old Relay Manager

Before installing a new Relay Manager, ensure that relay services are stopped and uninstalled. To do this, follow these instructions:

1. On the Relay Manager, click on File and then click Open.

2. Select a relay and click OK.

3. Click on Relay and then click on Stop Service. A pop-up message will appear showing that it has been stopped.

4. Click on Relay again and click on Uninstall Service. A pop-up message will appear showing that it has been uninstalled.

5. Follow these steps for all other available relays.

6. Close the Relay Manager and uninstall it from the local machine.

Install New Relay Manager

The Relay Manager can be downloaded from the Downloads button section in the Info tab of the Synatic Relay, as shown in the image below. Once downloaded, follow the prompts to install.

Ensure that the Relay Manager is installed in the same folder where the previous relays are stored. Consult your Server Administrator to confirm the folder.

Once installed, open the Relay Manager. All available relays will be displayed. If the relays are not displayed, close and reopen the Relay Manager.

Click on Set All Relay Runtime Version to set the runtime to the latest version.

Reinstall and Run Services

Service can be installed and started once the new Relay Manager is installed. To do this, follow these instructions:

1. Open a relay and click on Install Service.

2. Local System is automatically selected. Click on OK.

3. Click on Start Service to start the service.
